Who We Are…..What We Do
Altrusa offers a unique opportunity to make Lexington a better community in which to live.
The Lexington Club functions with a board of directors, a strong committee system and monthly membership meetings allowing every member to be personally involved in club projects and decisions. We meet on the third Thursday of each month at the Crowne Plaza (Campbell House) on South Broadway. The meeting officially starts at 6, but we encourage you to arrive by 5:30 for socializing. Each meeting is packed with food, fun, facts and a special guest. To learn more about becoming a member, visit our Membership Page or contact us. The club assesses the needs of the community and strives to meet the ever-changing landscape of Lexington. Altrusa provides multiple opportunities throughout the year to serve Lexington by collecting items for monthly baskets to support local charities such as Humane Society, Ronald McDonald House, Center for Women and Children. The club also volunteers at God's Pantry, KET telethon and Ronald McDonald House, just to name a few.
